    1. 1/ 👋🏻 hi to all the new followers lately (bc of the serial copyminter 😓 or sia?) i thought i’d share this again for you to learn more about me/this project👇🏻 i hope you’ll explore #fantom more – it’s fast, green, and full of independent creators 🖤 fantom.foundation/blog/fantom-community-spotlight-elle/

/ if you’re new here from eth and you’re wondering why i’m on fantom and not something like eth (i’ve been getting asked this a lot this week 😅), i touch on this a little bit in the article. but i feel like expanding on it some more in this thread

/ it’s true that most of the nft activity and money is over on eth and solana. and i could just as easily deploy my contracts on eth as i do on fantom. but I don’t. a solana platform even offered me seed money to do a project over there a couple months ago. but i said no. why?

/ because i’m dumb. haha jk 🙃 though, i might be crazy 🤷🏻‍♀️

/ i deploy on fantom because of my principles. i don’t want goools consuming massive amounts of energy whenever they move on the blockchain. the world is already messed up enough. i don’t want to subject the #gooolgang to slow/failed txs that cost a ton of gas or network outages

/ i often think of ethereum as walmart and the smaller chains as boutique shops. fantom, i believe, has been continuing to develop a very strong boutique brand with good values. and people notice to the point where our artists are being ripped off left and right

/ with a lot boutiques, you go there to buy objects that you know are ethically produced, made by independent artists and designers, etc. this matters to me. walmart has its place, of course, if you need toilet paper or junk food or something

/ i want the people who own any goool stuff to know that what they own is considered on these levels and supports these values. bc if we didn’t have something better to aspire to, we may as well shut down all the chains now and just use eth or go back to web2.0

/ i’m a believer in blockchain/dag/etc. tech as having potential to improve flaws of the web as we’ve begrudgingly accepted. but change will be hard work. part of that hard work is choosing good values to push forward even if it means taking a rougher path and risking failure

/ i focus on fantom here because it most fits my personal principles (like tezos). i have nothing against other chains, not even eth. i want multiple chains competing to be better & pushing each other up instead of racing to the bottom with short term schemes to capture capital

/ i talked with people about building a goool bridge to eth in feb and i’ve researched omni – but those don’t solve the basic issues i have with eth. i have some ideas i may do on eth post-merge but who knows if nfts will still be a thing then with the way we’re going 🤷🏻‍♀️

/ ok, that’s what i mean when i say fantom is fast, green, and independent. that’s the kind of tech i'm here to fight for. congratulations and thank you if you read all of this and sorry for the utopianist rant. i’ll go back to shitposting, memes, and emojis now 🖤🤘🏻
